Hi, about a month ago I met a guy on a language learning app, we text each other everyday and have video called on Line, we have a very similar interest and personality and are very close because of that. He’s really nice but after a while without warning he seemed to get more distant,I don’t know if it’s me just seeing these things but I feel used. I feel like he’s avoiding me and making excuses. but I’m in love with him but I feel like if I told him it would ruin everything, I have tried talking to my mum about it but she’s not really helpful, I’m scared of loosing our friendship and I don’t know what to do about it, do you have any advice on what to do? Should I just leave him or should I try and find out what the problem is/if there is one? Thanks for your help!

The fact you'd even consider just dropping him without asking what the problem is, suggests that while you may 'love him', you don't really have much of a friendship.

His actions may be about you - but, just as likely, it's about a change his end. Family problems? Girlfriend? Busy at college? Who knows? The only way to find out is to ask. And if you can't do that, then walk away, as he isn't that important.

On the other hand, maybe there's things you're not saying ... in what way could he have been using you?
