Hi everyone,
A little background into this: So I had a friend on facebook who we got on together so well. We had such a deep connection, we liked the same things, thought the same. Spoke everyday via messaging and video calls. So I decided to book a trip to visit him (I live in UK and he lives in Canada). The trip is next month.
However, recently we havent been as close. Not speaking as much. Very dead conversations and now I'm not feeling to go. I know if i dont go i would waste my money but in all honesty I would rather waste my money than my time because I can make that money back but I can't get time back. Whats the point in going anymore when that connection that was so strong isn't there anymore? Perhaps i rushed into it but at the time I was so sure he was my bestfriend. He still calls me his bestfriend but his actions say otherwise.
What should I do? Help ? I have no one else to talk to hence why I am on here...

No need to cancel your trip.
Just rearrange it leaving him out of it.
You didn't think it weird that you were going to see him rather than him coming to see you?
Or even meeting in a neutral place such as Cuba or the USA?
Either way, if you do not feel you'll be welcome, don't even think about going to see him.

I agree. I would go anyway. See him once but plan things that you would enjoy doing alone. Also try communicating with him about what is going on. Good friends do that
