Let me just start out by saying that I love my mom dearly - she is the one person that has been there for me through thick and thin and I know loves me unconditionally. I know that my love is that of a parent-child, but I also feel a different kind of love toward her. I want more out of our relationship, but I do not know how to.
Here are a few details:
I am currently 26 years old and my mother is 46 (she had me fairly young). She has always been a single mother as my father was promiscuous and a drug addict who ran off to another country when I was around 7 or 8 years old. It's just been me and her, with lots of support from my grandparents. She has had a few boyfriends over the years, but they never last longer than a couple of weeks to a pair of months. She is an incredibly strong-willed and headstrong woman and men either can't handle her or she soon finds something that annoys her about them and ends the relationship. She has stated several times that the only ones she can deal with daily are me (her son) and her dogs - this seems to be true. Every time she has gotten a boyfriend, I've been insanely jealous...however, I've always tried to support her (But we do have a running joke about her not being able to keep a boyfriend for longer than a month). We are both extremely cynical and make dark jokes without any issue. It is also normal for me to crack jokes about her age and weight (even though she is young and very fit) because she knows I don't meant it.
We are extremely close to each other and always have been. We live together and often have conversations about pretty much everything (we don't shy away from sexual topics). I'm pretty much her confidant, she comes to me when she wants to complain or let off some steam about something.
We have no issue being naked around each other as she often gets changed while we talk or sometimes talk with the bathroom door open and she doesn't seem to care (never has). We have also always kissed each other on the lips, it is the most normal thing in the world and I often give her hugs. She often says that she isn't the affectionate type and I see that with other people, but she also seems to love hugging her big son (I'm much taller than her) and we often say "I love you"...though we also often use it as a cute way to shut the other one up.
So yeah...I'm terrible at reading cues so I dunno if there's even a shot at a romantic relationship with her or where to even start! I've had two girlfriends growing up, but much like her...I quickly got tired/annoyed at any tiny flaw they might have had. But even then, I have little dating experience since they mostly took the initiative.
Also, yes...I have many...many sexual thoughts/dreams about her, but it's more than that...I dunno.
Where we live incest is not illegal at all. Nobody would find out. She became infertile a few years back, so there is no risk of procreation.
Can anyone help me? Please?
