This is going to sound really lame so prepare yourself. So I'm a senior in high school and I had feelings for this girl when I was in middle school. I asked her out cuz me friends dared me to but I was like fat and unathletic back then...anyway my point is that my feelings for her have kept mysteriously popping up over the years in the sense that I feel like I should ask her out. She moved schools after 8th grade and I haven't talked to her in four years. I honestly don't know if it's just cuz she was really sweet and beautiful and my first "crush" or because there's something more. I guess my question is, should I try to contact her? I know how I would go about doing so in a way that isn't weird or creepy but I just want to know if I'm crazy. After all this isn't some Hollywood movie where two people that haven't see each other in years magically get together. If she was still in my school I probably would have already asked her out and she probably would have said yes. Thanks for your responses and I apologize for the length of this post.

Of course you shouldn't. You have no reason to believe she has the remotest interest in you. Having the dream is OK - If a bit sad - but pursuing her would be unforgivable.
Teens is the time people change the most and the fastest: She isn't the same person now, and you probably aren't either.
But this isn't about her, it's about you. You're in a school with many girls your age and around, and you spend your time fantasising about a girl who left ages ago..
Can you see the weirdness in that?

She is up on a pedestal because you haven't seen her in years. Your imagination can make her whatever and whoever you want her to be. Maybe there is something or someone lacking in your life now so fill it with something or someone real
